Lens Technology
All PanOptx lenses are optically correct, de-centered and tapered to ensure a clear, crisp image in every direction. They also apply an anti-fog coating to the inside of every lens, for better performance in all conditions. They provide a variety of road-ready lenses, including their best-selling Photochromic Day-Night lens that gets the job done 24/7
Light-Sensitive Photochromic Lens: For the ultimate in convenience, try the light-sensitive lenses that darken in bright sun and fade to a faint tint or clear in low light. Made from shatterproof PureTec NXT, the Day-Night and Dawn-Dusk lenses are great all-condition choices.
ColorTec (CT) Contrast Lens: PanOptx's ColorTec Copper and ColorTec Grey lenses actually enhance the visibility of primary colors, a key feature for road safety. Their light mirror coating not only cuts down on light transmission, it also acts as a buffer when riding through changing light.
Science of Fit: On all Velocity models, the eyecup is carefully crafted to follow the contours of the face, creating a perfect orbital seal around the eyes. Because the glasses rest on your face, not just the bridge of the nose, they stay put even at red-line speeds.
Removable Eyecup: On all CV models, the foam-lined Motor eyecup can be easily removed to convert your Speed-Rated eyewear into regular sunglasses. Clip it into place to create a completely windproof, goggle-like seal around the eyes.
Vented Seals: All velocity eyecups, whether fixed (FX) or Convertible (CV), use foam covered vents to create filtered air flow around the eye. On Speed models, the partial seal around the eye forms an Air Dam that knocks down most wind.
