Skiers and Snowboarders constantly face the problem of changing light conditions on the hill. Until now, the answer has been to carry two pairs of goggles, or struggle to see in flat light with a dark lens or bright light with a light lens. The F1-Magic puts an end to all of this with a touch of a button.
The F1-Magic features the VALiD lens, a pioneering technology developed by AlphaMicron Inc. for the US Air force. The light lens of the Magis is instantly tinted dark when the on-board electronic system delivers a low dose of voltage to liquid crystals sandwiched between the double lens. This technology allows for a lens that can be switched from a high-contrast lens ideal for light conditions to a darker lens ideal for sunny conditions.
