With NXT® it is possible to combine polarization with photochromic formulations including high contrast filtration for particular applications. This is particularly significant because the special filtration that makes it possible to increase visual contrast and color discrimination can overcome the loss of visual information associated with conventional brown and gray polarized lenses. Photochromic lenses are frequently used for sports applications in which the same pair of glasses must adapt to widely varied weather and brightness conditions, including the possibility to wear indoors or even at night. They can provide improved comfort, visibility and increased protection for many activities. With NXT®,photochromic formulations can also be combined with polarization and high contrast filtration to obtain the most versatile high performance sunglass possible. Outstanding optical properties: NXT® has a lower refractive index (produces less surface reflection and rainbow effects) and higher Abbe value (focuses colors more sharply) than polycarbonate. Images are clear and better defined. |
