Prescription goggles use a Rx adapter that is positioned behind the regular or original goggle lens. The main lens can not have an Rx put into it because it is a single lens and as you have binocular vision you will need to have two separate Rx lenses. If the outer lens has a mirror coating you will not be able to see the insert in the goggle. Partially demonstrated on the Bolle goggle on the left. |
When purchasing a prescription insert for a goggle you will select the goggle frame color and outer lens color. The Rx insert will always have clear lenses as not to make any goggle to dark to wear. An optional Anti-Fog coating can be applied to the lenses when they are first ordered. This process assures fog free vision even when you have broken into a sweat. |
