RETURN POLICY for Sunray Optical Inc. / HEAVYGLARE EYEWEAR Satisfaction Guarantee

We are AUTHORIZED DEALERS for ALL the products that we carry, so we know that you will be satisfied.

We guarantee 100% accuracy on all prescriptions or they will be remade at no charge. We are happy to offer a one-time exchange only on the return of any eyeglass frame or sunglasses within 30 days of the shipping date. Please note that prescription lenses are not refundable, as they are a custom product. However if new prescription lenses need to be made on a frame exchange, we will credit 50% of the original lens price towards the cost of the new lenses. Additional shipping charges will apply.

Product Refunds
Non-defective products that are returned and not exchanged will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Shipping is not refundable. Refunds are only issued on the same credit card of the original purchase. You can expect the refund to be applied to the same credit card within 2-3 business days after our receipt of the returned item.

Please note: each product on your order can be returned for a refund or exchange within the 30 days. This means that if you order 3 items and want to return all 3 items, you must exchange for the same amount of items or be charged re-stocking fees on the items that are not being exchanged.
Should it be necessary to return defective product please note the following:

· The unworn product must be returned with all original packaging materials, unused warranty cards, and instruction booklets.

· Returns must be sent prepaid and insured for the full price by carrier such as UPS, Federal Express or the United States Post Office with a tracking number.

· We require a corrugated cardboard box to protect the product from damage during shipping. The original packaging must be undamaged for a refund.

Exchanging Sunglasses, Goggles or Eyeglass Frames
We are happy to offer a one-time exchange only on the return of any new and unused* sunglasses or eyeglass frame within 30 days of original ship date, new shipping charges will incur.

*New and unused means that there are no marks on the item or any wear on the tags (such as the hologram or shipping tags) or the case. We do not sell used items and will not accept any item with any indication that it was used. In such cases, the item will be returned to the purchaser.

Receiving Damaged or Incorrect Product
If there is extensive damage to the package when it arrives, refuse the order. If you receive damaged or incorrect product, contact Customer Service at 888-548-0558. Please have your Order ID number from the enclosed invoice available.

Up to $7.99 of your return shipping costs can be reimbursed for defective product received.

Repairs and Manufacturer’s Warranty Policy
All frames are warranted for ONE (1) Year from the date of purchase against any manufacturer’s defects. Most manufacturers prefer to handle the warranty exchanges themselves. Manufacturer’s defects include: structural design, hinges, welding points, and colorings. Manufacturer’s defects DO NOT include: flagrant misuse causing frame damage, scratching or tarnish; pet damage; destruction or damage by vehicle; stepping on or sitting on the frame; bending or twisting the frame; or any other damage not considered a manufacturing flaw. Frames which are considered defective will be replaced with a new pair, so long as the frame is still being manufactured. In cases where the frame is listed as discontinued (no longer manufactured), the frame will be replaced with another color or a different model of equal or lesser value. Customers will be contacted in situations such as this. Please be advised that all shipping charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. This includes any taxes and duties incurred with international packages.

Prescription Lens Return and Exchange Policy
All prescription lenses are considered special orders, and are therefore non-refundable. However, we understand there may be times you want to change the frame even though the prescription lenses are perfect. If, within 30 days of receipt of product, you wish to exchange a frame that we have made prescription lenses for, you will be charged or credited the difference of the new frame cost. A lens credit of 50% of the original lens cost will be applied to the cost of any new lenses ordered. In addition, new shipping charges will incur.

Prescription Guarantee
We guarantee 100% accuracy on all prescriptions or they will be remade at no charge. All prescription eyeglasses, prior to leaving Heavyglare Eyewear, pass a stringent quality control hand inspection. The lenses are checked for accuracy. We pride ourselves in our workmanship -accurately filling your prescription is our number one priority. In the unlikely event that an error makes it through our system, we will promptly and courteously remake the lenses to our 100% accuracy standard.

If you have any issues with your Rx eyewear, we want to help.

We've been making custom lenses since 1999. On the few occasions that a customer experiences a problem with their new eyewear, we have found the problem to be resolved simply by wearing the glasses consistently for 7-10 days. This allows the brain to adjust to all the additional information being conveyed by the new lenses.

Digital prescription lenses have an adaptation period of up to one week. You must consistently wear the product for your eyes to adapt. If you are still having trouble with your eyewear after one week, you will need to see your eye doctor. You will need to bring your eyewear and the Digital Certification Card with the "As Worn Rx" to verify the prescription, PD and vertex distance. For the doctor to check the lens it's self they need to have the correct equipment to check the Digital Prescription. Any other issues can easily be corrected with one or all of the following steps.
  • Get a copy of your most recent prescription and make sure that is what we made your eyewear order to by comparing the numbers. If it is a digital prescription you would have received a plastic card that will identify your "Prescribed Rx". A compensated prescription or an "As Worn Rx" will be different then the slip from the doctor.
  • Call us to describe the problem you are having. Is one lens perfect and the other flawed? Do you need to raise the glasses up or lower them to see correctly? Do you need to push them up to your face or push in the temples to bow the front of the frame to see correctly? Does it help to tilt the frame downward or upward to get crisp vision? Knowing these issues will make it easy for us to correct the lenses for you.
  • Any issues can be corrected. If you can take them in to your doctor he/she can take the exact measurements needed for these corrections. These exact measurements include your combined PD and we need to get a monocular PD including marking the ocular centers of your glasses as worn. The vertex distance from your eye to the back of the lens. Or lastly the panto or Pantoscopic tilt of the glasses worn on your face. All of these can be adjusted; we just need the proper measurements.
  • If you do take your glasses to the doctor and they are digitally surfaced you will need to bring the plastic Rx card that we send you with the "As Worn Rx". Your doctor will need the most current equipment to read your digital prescription.

If the steps above do not correct your prescription problems, the following are your options for a remake of your Rx.

Doctors Change - If lenses need to be remade due to a doctor's change, or an incorrect entry was made on the order, this is done one-time at 50% off of the original price of the lenses for a period of 30 days. Any upgrades desired are billed at full price, downgrades cannot be credited.

Non-Adaptability. If you cannot adjust to the lenses in a frame with a high degree of curvature (8 base or higher), we will make new lenses for you, once, into a frame of lesser curvature (6 base or lower) at no cost for a period of 30 days. You, the customer, are responsible for ALL shipping costs for modifications to your original order.

All exceptions to the above listed refund policy must be requested within 30 days after we have shipped the product to you. Refusal of your shipment will not entitle you to a refund.

Putting New Lenses into Your Own Frame (POF)
Simply mail us the frame and a copy of the prescription for the lenses you want placed in your frame. You will be charged for new lenses, a $15 frame tracing charge, plus the return shipping.

Please note: Heavyglare is not responsible for damage or breakage to Patient's own frame, new or used, if only prescription lenses are ordered.
